John Breen, from Bloomington, IN, created a free web-based "game" where you guess the meaning of words, and for each one you get right, he donates 20 grains of rice to the U.N. World Food Program. So far he's donated over 20 billion grains of rice, enough to feed a million people for a day. I just love people who think cleverly and solve several problems with one solution! I tried his game and it's quite addictive! You just want to keep going and going as you see the bowl of rice graphic filling up with grains. Plus, I've learned a handful of new words and clarified the meanings of several I used without thinking.
