Joe's boss re-assigns him from the hardware department to duties as the store Santa Claus and his wife wanting to enter the work force drives young father Joe Peters to deserts his family. While in his Santa role, Joe meets his daughter and discovers what she really wants for Christmas.

"A janitor's work is never finished, Mr. Peters, whereas the hardware department is scarcely the mecca of Christmas shoppers."
