5 affirmations to connect with
soul in yourself, others, and life
Affirmations can keep your awareness aligned with universal principles, which will always return you to knowing and living as the soul.
1. I am connected to an unlimited source of supply. I can freely receive all the ideas and knowledge I need, all the financial support I need, all the opportunities I need, all the help I need, all the love I need.
2. I see and greet the soul in you. What comes from your mouth and through your actions is also coming from my higher mind and relates to me somehow.
3. I experience the Presence in my body, in the air, in the walls, in the trees, in the cars, in the dirt, in the rhythms of my day, in the unfolding of current events, in all the people I meet, and in the unseen ones in other dimensions. Just by noticing, I find the soul in everything.
4. I am naturally cheerful, optimistic, innocent, open, creative, playful, celebratory, sincere, humorous, energetic, and wise. It's easier to smile than to frown.
5. I may not know the answer right now, but some part of me already knows and this part will get through to me at just the right moment. I know what I need to know just when I need to know it.

5 ways to differentiate between
the soul and the egomind voice
We all talk to ourselves inside our mind during the day. By learning to catch yourself when the egomind is monopolizing your thoughts, you can more easily shift back into the soul's perception.
1. The soul talks about what exists. It says, "I am doing this, I experience this, I perceive this." It cannot embody nonexistent fictitious realities beyond the here and now. The egomind says, "I don't, I can't, I won't," and repeatedly dives into the past or into negative, potential, or future realities that may never come about.
2. The soul allows. It says "This IS what it IS, There is purpose in everything, Everything is just fine and it's fine if it changes." The egomind says, "This isn't OK, I should, I have to, I must control."
3. The soul is a positive force. It says "I like, I enjoy, I am entertained and amused." The egomind often responds negatively, from criticism, judgment, ugliness, pettiness, or meanness.
4. The soul's voice builds understanding, compassion, and empathy. It says "I appreciate, I find value in, I understand, I feel what it's like to be in your shoes." The egomind perpetrates suffering, saying "I am misunderstood, No one sees me, I'm not going to give what I don't get, I hate, I won't tolerate."
5. The soul is full and embodies the experience of abundance. It says "I give freely, I can help, I have time, I have exactly what I need, there is plenty to go around." The egomind is sacrificial, and says "If I give to you I won't have enough, My needs are never met, I feel empty, lonely, abandoned."

5 criteria of soul perception
To identify the times you're sourcing your perception from the soul level, it helps to be able to recognize the qualities that characterize that kind of deeper consciousness.
1. The soul is fluid; soul perception always embodies natural flow. It embraces new things without resistance and lets them go just as easily.
2. The soul sees and chooses what's most appropriate. There is one answer, action, or insight that's the perfect fit for each situation. The soul is drawn to this expression neutrally and naturally and doesn't waste time or energy.
3. The soul is growth-oriented. It moves forward and evolves enthusiastically. It says "I'm interested, I'm creating, I'm always learning something." If the soul pauses, it's because this is necessary to fuel the next cycle of expansion.
4. The soul seeks unity in diversity. It naturally sees interconnections and similarities that foster rapport, wisdom, and creativity. At the same time the soul cherishes uniqueness and free will, valuing diversity because the soul itself contains all the possibilities of personality.
5. The soul creates win/win solutions. The soul does not understand the concept of sacrifice. It lives from the truth that, "When your life supports you in being your whole self, that supports me in being my whole self, and vice versa."

5 ways to use intuition to feel your soul
It's easy to get lost in the busybody "egomind," and surf across the surface of the world, forgetting what's important to you at the soul level. We have to learn to choose to identify ourselves as our soul, and that takes practice. It means you have to remember to choose the real you often throughout the day and build a new thought habit. To choose to be your soul, you must be able to experience the difference between the soul and the egomind, and clearly know which state you prefer.
1. Bring your awareness fully into the present moment. The soul enters the world, for you, through every particle of your body. These particles of soul force, or points of light, exist only in the present moment. If your mind projects into the past or future, you lose touch with the radiance and cannot experience your soul.
2. Put your attention on and inside your body. Since the soul enters the world through every particle of your body, to know the soul you must merge your conscious mind and your body. Do that by placing attention on the body, then sink in. Let the body come alive with tingling and vibration, and experience how conscious it is. That awareness you encounter in the body is the first level of soul wisdom.
3. Contemplate your core motives. Feel what you want deeply as though you're experiencing it. Then drop down through that by asking "Why do I want this?" Then, "Why does my soul want these things? What experiences do these things bring that my soul wants?" When you find the handful of core motives at the heart of what you do, you will feel what you're all about, and you'll respect and love yourself.
4. Intentionally remember and reexperience times when your heart has been open. When you feel trapped by the egomind, ask yourself to recall times when you have felt grateful, amazed, or moved by heroism or egoless action. Picture wiggly puppies, smiling babies, or the shiny eyes of a lover. As you focus attention into these things, you will return to the state of awareness you were in then. When your heart is open, the resulting experiences are indicative of the soul.
5. Intentionally shift into a state of cheerfulness, pleasure, enthusiasm, innocence, sincerity. Intentionally recall times when you felt generous toward life, were in a good mood, were open-minded and willing to learn, or were willing to be entertained or surprised. That open-minded neutrality and positive expectancy is a quality of the soul.
